This 2.81 ha (6.95 ac) former site of Brock campus will be developed into a new community with four park spaces at ground plane that are accessible to the public and designed to public standards. The site is organized in a way that animates its surroundings, visually connects the public and private realms, and promotes active transportation.
A key feature of the overall development is the public pedestrian promenade connecting out to Lawrence Avenue. This pedestrian only ‘streetscape’ is designed with LID features to manage storm water. The site organization prioritizes the pedestrian experience. The central corridor transitions from a traditional right-of-way with pedestrian and vehicular access to a grand, fully pedestrian promenade.
